Submersible LED lights for ponds, fountains, pools and aquariums
Lighting water at night looks beautiful. A few submerged lights make a pond, fountain or pool glow and turn it into a feature you can enjoy after sunset, not just during the day.
This category includes submersible LED pond and fountain lights, color-changing pool and hot tub lights, battery puck lights you can float or sink, and small lights for aquariums and vases.
The most important spec is the waterproof rating. For anything that sits underwater, look for IP68, which means the light is designed for continuous submersion. IP67 is fine for short periods under water but not for permanent use. Check the maximum depth stated by the maker too.
For ponds with fish, choose softer settings or put lights on a timer so the fish get darkness at night. Plug-in pond lights normally run on a low-voltage transformer, which is safer around water. Always keep plugs and transformers away from the edge, use an outdoor GFCI-protected outlet, and follow the maker's instructions. Battery and solar models avoid cables altogether and suit small water features.
