Portable fans, coolers and air conditioning accessories
Not every room needs a full air conditioning unit. A bedroom that gets stuffy at night, a home office with afternoon sun, or a dorm room where you can't install anything permanent can often be fixed with a good portable fan or a compact air cooler.
This category covers personal and portable cooling: desk fans, tower and neck fans, small evaporative coolers, and accessories that help your existing AC work better. Most are light enough to move from room to room, and many run on USB or rechargeable batteries.
It helps to know what each type does. A fan moves air and makes you feel cooler, but it doesn't lower the room temperature. An evaporative cooler adds a little moisture and works best in dry climates; in humid weather the effect is milder. For a large room, one small unit won't be enough, so look at the airflow figures and the recommended room size in each listing.
Check noise level if it's going in a bedroom, and see whether the water tank is easy to refill and clean.
